Yet another year ends and a new one starts. I’m characteristically not disposed to list my accomplishments, nor my goals. Resolutions? Forget about that!
2025 for many of us—me included—was a mixed bag of uneasy mess, humdrum days, and grand moments of merriment and joy, as we went about our everyday living.
And, oh my dear, the year whizzed by all too fast. Did yours?
Yet I can point to one significant milestone for me personally: my oncologist confirmed that my last PET scan was clean—no cancer! That was worthy of celebration.
Year’s end is neither an end nor a beginning but a going on, with all the wisdom that experience can instill in us.

🌸 As the new year unfolds, I wish for us the courage to embrace what lies ahead. May we walk boldly into uncertainty with open hearts, finding inspiration and magic in the mess.
🌸 I hope we’ll discover wonder in unexpected places—through books that transport us, connections with people who truly see us, and creative expressions that only we can offer. Whether we write, build, or simply live authentically, let’s pursue those efforts with intention and delight.
🌸 Most importantly, let’s seek and celebrate joy—not just in grand moments, but in the everyday act of creating, learning, and becoming. When fear whispers, may we answer with a smile (real or borrowed), knowing that bravery and joy are intertwined.
🌸 Here’s to the fresh possibilities this year brings. May we surprise ourselves with what we’re capable of, make some good trouble, and may we never forget that the world is shaped by those brave enough to look for beauty in it.

Yes, going forward really is our only option, like it or not. I suppose our choices revolve around whether we live mindfully each day along the way. Gratitude seems to add value and so does giving and receiving encouragement among friends. 🥰
